Felipe is a Miami-based filmmaker, creative coach and educator. He was born in Medellin, Colombia, where he grew up and developed his passion for film. He completed the University of Antioquia, filmmaking program in 2004. In 2005 he moved to the United States to pursue an education as a film director. In 2009, he graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in Motion Pictures and Economics from the University of Miami. Following graduation, Felipe was offered a full scholarship to attend graduate school at the same institution. In 2012, he complete an M.F.A in film production with an emphasis in micro-budget filmmaking. Felipe has directed branded content, commercials, episodic TV and short films. EL EMPANTANADO is his opera prima.
Maggie is a Miami-based producer and production manager. She has produced music videos, commercials and episodic TV. She was born and raised in Newport, Rhode Island. Maggie moved to Miami in 2005 to study Finance and Entrepreneurship at the University of Miami School of Business Administration. She enjoyed her business studies,but her craving for the creative motivated her to explore the University of Miami Cinema and Interactive Media Program. In 2009, she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Motion Picture and Economics and received a full scholarship to continue her education in the M.F.A in Producing Program. While completing her Masters, Maggie founded CineStation Entertainment L.L.C, which continues to produce professional yet affordable content for local clientele. Maggie has worked for various film festivals for the past 8 years and while in Miami has served as a filmmaker liaison and Programming Director for the Miami Short Film Festival.
